The University of Nairobi’s School of Computing and Informatics and the Center for Computing and Development Laboratory (C4DLab) have officially launched the Bike Share Challenge.
Speaking during the launch of the Challenge, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi, said the ‘Bike Share Challenge’ will solve the traffic challenges in the city by enabling Nairobi residents share bicycles.
Users borrow, ride and return the bicycle. Currently, the program works in a controlled campus environment where a one hour ride costs Kshs. 40 but will soon be open to the public as the project gets scaled and launched in various universities and in various counties with the country.
