Prof. Isaac Meroka Mbeche, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance Planning and Development) and Professor of Management Science at the School of Business has retired with effect from March 21, 2020.  Consequently, Prof. Mbeche, having left University service through retirement, automatically ceased being the Deputy Vice Chancellor (FPD).  It follows, therefore, that the post of Deputy Vice Chancellor (FPD) is now vacant.

Prof. Madara Ogot, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (RIE) has been Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (FPD) since January 2020 when Prof. Mbeche proceeded on annual leave.  He continues to discharge the duties of that office.

Professor Mbeche had served the University in other capacities including holding the position of Deputy Vice -Chancellor Students Affairs and Principal College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof  S.G Kiama thanked Professor Mbeche for the good service he had rendered to the University  and wished him a happy life in retirement.
