We are pleased to invite you to join the ERA-NET Cofund Climate Change and Food Systems (FOSC) proposal titled: “Addressing the Impact of Drought/Heatwaves on Food Security (AIDFS)”. 

ERA-NET (Horizon 2020) supports public-public partnerships (P2Ps), in their preparation, establishment of networking structures, design, implementation and coordination of joint activities as well as Union topping-up of a trans-national call for proposals.

 This proposal is organised by the Worldwide Universities Network, and co-ordinated by Professor Yoselin Benitez Alfonso [Y.Benitez-Alfonso@leeds.ac.uk] at the University of Leeds UK in collaboration with Dr Michael Considine [michael.considine@uwa.edu.au] at UWA, Perth Australia, and Professor Christine Foyer [C.H.Foyer@Bham.ac.uk]. We attach a 2-page Summary of the proposal content for information. 

This trans-continental call aims to support scientifically excellent, trans-continental research, development and innovation projects that contribute to the knowledge base on food systems and climate change. The submitted proposals must be multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary.  The proposed project seeks to specifically address the following call topic: “Reduce food losses under climate change, including novel approaches to valorise side streams and reduce food waste”.

We hope that you will accept our invitation to be an organizational partner in this project, collaborating with the international core team. The deadline for pre-proposals is the 19th of February, 2020. So, if you are willing to join our proposal, please put the attached ‘Letter of Commitment’ on the Headed notepaper of your organisation and return the signed letter to this is E-mail address, as soon as possible.
