Varsity tuition fees in first review since 1995

The push for review of the fees comes at a time when the drop in the number of students pursuing parallel degree programme courses, whose tuition charges are based on market rates, has hurt university finances.

This has forced the institutions to freeze hirings and slow down expansion plans as they struggle with huge debts.

“Discussions regarding the fee increment are ongoing…but it’s premature to say anything concrete has been agreed upon,” UFB acting chief executive Milton Njuki said on the sidelines of a regional forum on university education reforms in Nairobi.

All Graduates of the 62nd Congregation for the conferment of degrees and award of diplomas held on December 20, 2019 are requested to collect their certificates from the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus starting from Monday February 10, 2020 to Friday April 3, 2020 in the following order:

Barclays Bank Kenya Limited has now officially transitioned to Absa Bank Kenya PLC. It is in this regard that they have extend an invitation 300 University of Nairobi students to join them to an evening of celebration.

We will be celebrating on Wednesday, 19 February 2020 at 5p.m. to 9p.m. with a few of our local musicians to grace the occasion and mark this day in history with the Bank.
