Dear University Community.

The Research e-AIE was launched in April 2020 as a stop gap measure to enable researchers to continue their work as the University began the massive task of moving all its systems online. The initial system was confined to research projects that were in colleges therefore requiring the approval of the College Principal.

Since then, we have added capabilities for approval of projects whose funds reside in the grants office but are not under the College.  Specifically these are projects based at central units and the Post-Graduate Student NRF grants which were managed and whose paper AIEs had previously originated from the DVC RIEs office.

The updated system now accommodates these projects.  An updated user manual is attached capturing these changes.

For all other users, the system remains the same.
