FIMS Office Training on Asset Management

Finance staff from various colleges were this week from 3rd July 2018 to 8th July 2018, trained on Asset Management.

The training is aimed at automating the Assets Register of The University of Nairobi.

The purpose of this training is to ensure that the University’s Fixed Assets and Movable Assets are acquired, Accounted for, controlled and disposed of in accordance with the Laws of Kenya, International Financial Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Varsity Receives PWD Inclusion Champion Award

At the first ever National Diversity and Inclusion Awards and Recognition Awards, the University of Nairobi was crowned second runners up in the Diversity and Inclusion PWD Inclusion Champion category.

Dr. Jane Ambuko from the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences received the first runners up in the Diversity and Inclusion Entrepreneur of Excellence Award.

The awards were presented to the University at a gala dinner held on June 29, 2018.
