The Vice Chancellor urges new students to focus on their studies.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi, called upon the new students to be responsible, disciplined and focused in their studies.

“Make choices that will make you a dignified person-avoid drugs and irresponsible behavior there is a lot to gain from being disciplined."

In his official address to the first year students from the College of Humanities and Social sciences (CHSS), the VC congratulated the new students on their admission to the University of Nairobi.

Sustainability science,  is an emerging field of research dealing with the interactions between natural and social systems, and with how those interactions affect the challenge of sustainability; meeting the needs of present and future generations while substantially reducing poverty .

Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST Kenya) to start Admission

The University of Nairobi, Kenyan Government through Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) and Korean Advanced Institute of Sciences and technology (KAIST) have been in partnership to establish a consortium of KAIST in Kenya.

“Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, KAIST Kenya, is about to admit its first cohort of students,” announced the CEO of Konza, Eng. John Tanui, during a public lecture by the 16th President of KAIST, Dr. Sung-Chul Shin at Taifa Hall on Wednesday, Feb 13, 2019.

Mitsubishi Corporation awards 14 scholarships to UoN students

The Mitsubishi Corporation has awarded 14 University of Nairobi students scholarships through its annual Mitsubishi Corporation International Scholarships Programme.
