The University of Nairobi and the China- Africa Institute, China, have entered into discussions on possible areas of collaboration.

This was the agenda when the team from China based institute led by Associate Researcher, Dr. Wu Chuanhua paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor on October 22, 2019.

Prof. Isaac Mbeche, ag. Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the move saying that collaborations of mutual benefit to both parties are a priority for the University.

Focus on postgraduate training, says CS Magoha

The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Prof. George Magoha has challenged the University of Nairobi to focus on postgraduate training.

“As the premier University in Kenya, the University of Nairobi should be known for specific academic programmes. Relook at the programmes on offer and drop those which are easily found in the smaller universities; focus on postgraduate programmes that are competitive,” said Prof. Magoha.
